Croissants + Donuts = Cronuts

Every morning without fail I tune in to the only classy, fab and fun show I’ve listened and will listen, Wake Up with Taylor on Cosmo Radio. I know what you might be thinking Cosmo radio?! They only reason I listen to the show is because of Taylor, she is hilarious and a down to earth kinda girl. 🙂

On the show they have a segment called Fat Kid Friday in which they get to indulge in delicious and sometimes “fatty” food, let just say the kinda food you can only have once a week or maybe once a month. On one of those Fridays where they were talking on what they will be eating they mentioned a novelty pastry called cronuts. This are designed in a bakery in New York, and apparently, is the newest pastry you get in line for and wait for hours.

But what is a Cronut? Well basically, is a fried croissant, donut-style, with a glaze and optional padding.  In other words it’s a hybrid of a croissant and a donut.

If you feel adventurous and want to try to make this new trendy and fab pastry then check this awesome recipe tutorial from Food 52. GOOD LUCK!
